Introduction

The Equipment Settings functionality allows a user to define certain attributes (e.g. weight, volume, etcfor example, weight or volume) for a specific type of Equipmentequipment. These attributes are then checked by the system when creating a Shipment shipment, and also when consolidating Shipments shipments on a Movementmovement.
For TL (i.e. Truck Load) types of Equipmentequipment, the user can define attributes that include Max Weight, Max Volume and Quantity. When a Movement/Shipment movement or shipment is created with this Equipmentequipment, if the Movement/Shipment's weight weight of the movement or shipment exceeds the "Max Weight" setting, an over-weight "Overweight" flag will be set and displayed on the Movement/Shipment Summary screen page. When the user is on the Movement Details screen, and is page using the Load Builder functionality and attempting to consolidate Shipments shipments to a Movementmovement, the system will indicate if the consolidated Shipments shipments cause the Movement movement to be over-weightoverweight, over-volume or over-quantity.
For LTL (i.e. Less Than Truck Load) and Parcel parcel types of Equipment, Shipping Unit Dimensions equipment, shipping unit dimensions can be specified on the Equipment Settings screen. When a Movement/Shipment movement or shipment is created with this Equipmentequipment, if the Movement/Shipment/Shipment Line movement, shipment, or shipment line length, width or height exceeds the Shipping Unit Dimension settings, an over"Over-dimension Dimension" flag will be set and displayed on the Movement/Shipment Summary screen.

Configuring the Equipment Settings Functionality

1. Login to the One Network System.
2. Select Administration -> Equipment Settings.

   The Equipment Settings Summary screen will be page is displayed with a list of the current equipment settings. 
2. To create a new Equipment Setting, press the equipment setting, click Add Equipment Setting button.

2. On this screen, the user needs to fill in the required information as follows:
   1. Equipment field – auto complete field with search icon; this is the Equipment Typeequipment type
      
      
3. On this screen, the user can fill in the desired non-required information such as "Max Weight", "Max Volume", and "Quantity".
4. After the information has been entered on this screen, press the Create button to save the information.

5. On the Movement/Shipment Summary screen, if the Movement/Shipment movement or shipment created exceeds the specified Equipment Setting equipment setting "Max Weight", an over-weight "Overweight" flag will be displayed.

6. On the Movement Details screen, and using the Load Builder functionality, if the user tries to consolidate Shipments shipments that exceed the specified Equipment Settingsequipment settings, a warning message will be displayed.
