Introduction

This document (version 1.1) provides an explanation of how to add a user to your company. Only a user with administrative privileges can add a user and user role. Prior A user role must exist prior to adding a user, a . If no user role first needs to exists, one must be created.

  1. Log on Login to the One Network Systemsystem.

    •  field - enter the name for your role. Note: This will be the name of the role that will be used later when you add a user.

    • Name field - select one of the available user role types from the drop-down list.

  1. click Save. You will receive a message that the user role was successfully created.

  2. To view the details of a user role, click the role name under the Name column on the Roles screen.

  3. The Role Details screen is displayed.
  4. For carriers only, click the available Shipper Account tab to view a list of companies you are partnered with.

  5. If no radio button is selected in the list, this role will have access to shipments from all the listed companies.
    To have this role only have access to shipments from one of the companies, click the radio button next to that company and then click Save.

Adding a User to Your Company

  1. Login Log on to the One Network Systemsystem.
  2. Select Click Administration - > Users.

  3. The Users screen will be is displayed with a list of the current users. 

    To add a user, press the click Add User button.

  5. Enter information in the various fields to add the user.

    Fields marked with an asterisk symbol symbol (*) are required

    • User Name field - enter a username in the User Name field.  

    Note

    This will be the username that the person will use to login to log on to the One Network system. Usernames need to be unique in the One Network system. The user will need to enter this name exactly as it is entered in the User Name field when logging in logging on to the One Network system.

    • First Name and Last Name fields - enter the user's first and last name in these fields.
    • E-Mail field - enter the user's email address in this field.

  6. To add a role(s), click the Search icon next to the Add Role fieldImage Removed
    Scroll down to the bottom of the New User screen and press the Add button under the Roles section. Note: Each user needs to have at least one role.

    Note

    If there are no roles displayed after pressing the Add buttonclicking on the Search icon, refer to the first section in this guide on adding a user role.

  7. On the pop-up In the Select Roles popup window, select the check boxes checkboxes for the roles to be assigned to this user and then press the OK button on the popup window.

  8. Once all information has been entered on the New User screen, press the Save button at the bottom of the screenclick Create. You will receive a message that the user was successfully saved.

  9. If a user has multiple roles, the user can select which role to use at a given time. To switch roles, click your username in the top right corner and click Switch Role and then click one of the roles from the list.
